Nut and Acorn Weevil (Curculio) - A turning fork (geniculate) antennae. Was I ever surprised to see such a thing! . . . and the antennae grow out of the rostrum (snout)! :o)

It turns out the thing at the end of the snout, that I initially thought looked like an apple corer, is it's jaws.
