Background:
The River Falls, WI Middle School presents an annual Veterans Day Program. Last spring I agreed to go to Meyer Middle School after a morning bus run to meet with several students (6th-8th grade) who were interviewing veterans.
Before you watch and giggle a couple of Dougisms:
- Don’t wear a tight shirt/sit up straight in front of a camera
- I meant I was the only one of my age group within my family that went in the military
- I had way too much coffee that morning as I knew the interview was forthcoming
- I knew some of these kids from driving bus over the years, so I was not as formal with them as I could have been
I’m sharing and thanking all those who serve/have served too:
Brian & Tiffany Marone
James Marone
Walter Meyer
Walter Berger
Klaus Berger
Ronald Stutzman
S. Paul Steiner
Tyler Steiner
Special thanks to Cathy Steiner for her administrative work supporting Navy needs in the Tidewater/Virginia Beach area for many years.
Forgive me if I’ve left other family members off the above list, someone let me know who I’ve missed.
Feel free to pass along as desired.
Semper Fidelis!
