Case-bearing Leaf Beetle (Cryptocephalinae) 7-8 x 4mm - 2016-7-23 Newark, DE

I found this on a Blackberry leaf. I put a little water in the bottom of a bowl, put the leaf (stem) in it. I looked at it once in a while but it looked the same. My amygdala was working overtime so later in the evening, not wanting to let anything ghastly escape, I covered it with a plastic chinese food container. I didn't take pictures today, so this photo is from the 24th.
