This and the next picture taken by Opa Meyer on his first trip to Germany when he was a young man. (see description) Opa was fond of telling me the story of the terrible storm he went through on his first trip to the States. He said the waves looked to be about 30 feet high and looked like they'd swamp the boat. He was glad, he said, to see land. :o) I put the pictures here because they remind me of him.
