Georgia (July, 2010)
A week with Mike. We took a day trip to Banning Mills in Whitesburg, Georgia, to enjoy their Screaming Eagle zip line tour and the beautiful terrain of the Snake Creek Gorge.

Looking back at the lodge from our first stop. It took us just about 4 hours to do a 5 mile zip line tour.

Short steps. Some are 60 to 100 feet high.

There's quite a bit of walking involved, not all of it on the ground. Here we used a bridge traverse to get to the next point.

Lots of gear hanging in the trees. We stopped from time to time to rest up and get some water into us.

Walking the plank. It's a long way down. This is one of several cool challenge elements that are anywhere from 60 to 300 feet up in the air.

The Screaming Eagle. Speeds on the zip line can get up to 60 mph.

Two more stops to get to the top of the mountain. The lodge is looking smaller. Just about 4 hours to do a five mile tour. It was SO worth it. I had a great time, Mike!
