hmmm.... @Deb, that could be it! The eyes!
I was just looking at the picture and thinking that not much
changed 40 years later on my first day of school. I have a
similar picture with a "sugar cone" and still have my leather
satchel with some of my notebooks. I wonder how many
children these days still have their first backpacks?
