This was the first time we were under time-constrains while birding Bombay Hook, still, we made it out of there by 3:45, I think. There were no biting flies today, thank goodness!

Northern Gashawk observed beginning its migratory journey from Dover Air Force base where it nests and refuels.

Two Brown Thrasher engaged in what we think was courting behavior.

Clapper Rail preening in a rivulet in the salt marsh. We watched for about 3 or 4 min.

Clapper Rail - stayed close together while preening, then the female walked back into marsh.

Clapper Rail - the male followed the female soon after.
