20-MINUTE SAUERBRATEN - Karolina's recipe

2016-5-3 - Been making this for too many years to count. It quickly satisfies my craving for sauerbraten without having to stand in the kitchen for hours.

1 bag extra-wide (or hearty) PA Dutch egg noodles
ground beef
1 1/2 to 2 cups sauerbraten juice (sugar, salt, pepper, hot water, vinegar)
Gravymaster
flour

Boil a bag of noodles. While noodles are cooking, fry ground beef. Make juice and add Gravymaster to it. Put a bit of flour in a bowl and add juice, mix well. When ground beef is brown and done, add juice to pan and simmer just until gravy is thickened. When noodles are done to desired consistency, drain. Put some noodles in a soup dish and top with a ladle full of ground beef and gravy.

Sometimes I'll add a pinch of ginger. Most of the time I don't.

YUM! Last time I bought an eye roast I cut it in 3. Made a TON of marinade and cooked one piece after 3 days in the fridge. I poured marinade in the Ziploc bags of the other 2 and plopped them in the freezer. Now I just have to defost each in the fridge and it's already marinaded!
