Spotted jewelweed (Impatiens capensis) - 2006-9-9 Hawk Mountain, PA

The "Jewelweed" comes from the way drops of water stay on the leaves. The "Touch-me-not" comes from the way the seed pods eject the seeds when touched. The black spot on one of the blossoms is a bee that climbed all the way in.
