Stinging Nettle (Urtica dioica) 2016-5-31 White Clay Creek SP, DE

In Germany, my mother used to boil the leaves and we'd eat them like spinach. I wonder what she had to go through to collect the leaves. I suppose it was only the young and tender ones.
