Poison Hemlock (Conium maculatum) 2016-5-31 White Clay Creek SP, DE

Yes, *the* Poison Hemlock of Shakespeare's fame. Yes, it *will* kill you.

"The key differences with Wild Carrot are that the stems are hairy, and just below the flower-head, you will notice many three-forked bracts encircling that part of the stem. Neither Poison Hemlock nor Fool’s Parsley has these characteristics"

At first glance, also not to be confused with Water Hemlock (Cicuta maculata) which has purple stems and different leaves.
