Spotted Turtle (Clemmys guttata) 2013-5-12 unknown/unremembered nature preserve in MD

Once seen it's difficult to mistake for any other turtle with its yellow or orange spots on a black carapace. The trick is seeing it. They're mainly active in the Spring and spend most of their time in shallower water. The male has a tan chin and the female's is yellow.
