KAREN'S GALLERY (est. 2005)

Differential Grasshopper (Melanoplus differentialis) 2016-8-12 Newark, DE

This one was on the rocking chair, presumably trying not to boil under the heat index today. It was very slow moving. I've read that females are more likely to allow an approach than males and that perhaps due to their larger size they're not as willing to expend as much energy trying to get away from a threat.
