capitate = has a blob on the end that looks like a club (this antennae is also geniculate) (Stag-horn Beetle)

clavate = also has a knob, club, or similar but it's gradual/tapering, not as abrupt (Skipper)

geniculate = has elbows, or is a little bent at the joint (Weevil)

lamellate = plate, sheet, leaf-shaped, and when talking about insects it means only the tip is fan-shaped. (Grapevine Beetle)

pectinate = teeth, like in a comb (bipectinate is teeth on both sides) (Fire-colored Beetle)

plumose = feathery (Midge)

serrate = like a saw, notched on the edge (Firefly)

setaceous = gradually tapering to a point (Moth)

stylate = "having a pointed process, a style. Aristate is similar, but the process is off-center." I don't understand it well enough to explain it better. (Tiger Bee Fly)
