Acting like it wouldn't hurt a fly. Hah! Can't fool me!

You picked it up!?!?!? Isn't it odd for it to be out in the daytime and eating clover?
Obviously, I know NOTHING about bats! :)

Of course I picked it up, it only weighs a few ounces. (Winged unicorns are much heavier, I've heard, and I'd never try to pick one of those up - dishtowel or not.) I don't know anything about bats either, but it's fun learning. 99.9% of what I know about my species IDs I learn from various sources on the Internet. After a while you figure out which sources are more reliable. The times when even the experts disagree is when things really get fun. I don't worry about those for very long - eventually a note stating that "even experts don't agree" suits me just fine. :o) There's very little information on the web about daytime bat appearances and none about clover-leaf eating. One source told me they're known to nectar at clover from time to time, but no mention of clover leaf eating. She likes bats, although her faves are honey bees. She gave me another lead to try for my Little Brown Myotis and am patiently waiting to hear from that source. We'll see what happens. Sometimes these things take a while. I don't mind waiting. Will let you know what, if anything, I find out.
