Tues night, July 19th, I saw two skunks! Mom wasn't taking any chances and she took the little one up along the other
side of the ditch towards me and then out of sight. The juvenile is as white as she is!

Tonight I watched a stand-off between a couple of foxes and her and her baby. It took about 10 min to resolve and
eventually I did get a whiff of of some of the chemical warfare she employed.

I was watching the foxes and then noticed something huge, in comparison, and pale. It was dark, this all took place in the space of about 20 min. from about 9:30 to 9:50, and I couldn't make out what this shape was and thought perhaps it was a dog. I thought it was behaving oddly, just standing still, and only then thought perhaps it might be the skunk. It was. It had its tail raised and spread.

I went upstairs and got the camera and binoculars. None came close enough for the camera but I used the binoculars until both foxes and skunks left. One of the foxes left fairly early. About 3 or 4 minutes after the last fox left, the skunks left also.
