Paul Bunyan's bowling ball - Hawk Mtn, PA (6/11/2006)

Once upon a time, Paul Bunyan wanted to go bowling, so he found the largest tree in the forest and carved some pins and a bowling ball. When he was finished, he left the pins and the bowling ball to be reclaimed by the forest. Many, many years later all the pins rotted away and were recycled back into the forest - except his bowling ball. It took root and sprouted a tree. And if it hasn't died, then it still lives today.
