2015-12-26 Doug's Christmas letter

Dear Family and Friends,

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Like the cards
and letters we’ve received, love and greetings from us too!

We had an enjoyable summer and were blessed by a
great visit by Walter & Betty Meyer. We’re also having a
warm winter (no complaints!), which makes Doug’s bus
driving and snow plowing easier to accomplish.

Lois continues to provide piano and string (violin, cello)
instruction from her home studio. As a church
accompanist, music instructor at Baldwin Christian
School, and violinist with the St. Croix Valley Symphony
Orchestra, she is always on the go. Additionally, her adult
‘ladies string quartet’ has performed to welcoming ears at
senior care centers.

Doug remains active in facilitating a community library
Bible study. As usual, he can be found with his parrot
(Webster), aquariums, under the hood of a car, but mostly
on his computer doing all kinds of things (like recording,
editing, and creating video/DVD’s for school programs.

In August we visited Andy & Margaret in Madison. Then
we traveled once again to Illinois. We enjoyed visiting
Tiffany’s family in Rock Island, a Lincoln museum in
Springfield, Alfred in Charleston, Sam & Sieglind in
Danville, and Roman and Madison in Chicago before
taking an eight-hour trip on mostly back roads from
Chicago to our home. Wisconsin is certainly beautiful!

We’ve included a few photos we thought you might enjoy,
as well as an attached local news article.

In closing, we remain blessed by the presence and help of
our surrounding friends and relatives. And it is a special
blessing to hear from all of you during this special holiday
season - even as we wait for the return of Our Savior
(John 3:16) who was born today in the most humble of
circumstances.
