Coastal Sweet Pepperbush (Clethra alnifolia) 2016-8-27 Newark, DE

I still remember Mr. Taylor teaching us that some people called it Soap Plant or Soap Bush because native Americans used the white blossoms to make a soapy lather. I still remember testing that theory. I hope Mr. Taylor is in a place where he can study nature to his heart's content. I can't think of Parvin without thinking of him.
