2014-12-25 Doug's Christmas letter

Dear Family and Friends,
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Here are a few events from the past year we want to share with you.

Our Home: Angie is now a junior and commutes from our home to attend classes at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. Her major is ‘Business Management’. As an assistant shift swing manager, she still works many hours a week at the McDonald’s in Baldwin.

Lois continues to provide piano and string (violin and cello) instruction from her home studio. While presenting student concerts (K-12) at Baldwin Christian School, she enjoys playing violin with the St. Croix Valley Symphony Orchestra and piano in several local churches. Her health is good (although cough still present), her energy boundless, her love of music imparted to all.

Doug still enjoys school bus route driving (10th year). In April, he was a featured writer/presenter at the University of Northwestern-St. Paul Scholar Symposium. He is active in a local bible study and in a series of meetings involving New Testament Church principles. Still struggling with post-op shoulder surgery, he enjoys his aquariums and football team: Go Philadelphia Eagles!

Our Travels: In late August we spent time in the Land of Lincoln. We enjoyed visiting Sam & Sieglind in Danville, Alfred in Charleston, Dan & Lynn in Toulon, and Tiffany and family in Rock Island, Illinois!

Our Prayer for 2015: Please join us in reciting Psalm 150!

Praise the Lord!
Praise God in His sanctuary;
Praise Him in His mighty firmament!
Praise Him for His mighty acts;
Praise Him according to His excellent greatness!
Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet;
Praise Him with the lute and harp!
Praise Him with the timbrel and dance;
Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes!
Praise Him with clashing cymbals!
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord!
