Slaty Skimmer. This dragonfly was the perfect ending to this visit. Like most of the insects photographed, this also was a first for me.

We played tag over about a 12' section at the foundation in front of the house, near where the artificial pond is. Maybe it preferred the relative safety of the Green Frog there to the uncertainty of the Rough-winged Swallows that were scooping up insects at the farmer's pond across the street.
