If I darkened your hair a little bit you'd look more like Marlon Brando doing an imitation of James Dean! :o)

It was a very windy day. Pix taken on the side of a small, simulated airfield that we used for training purposes. I was first in charge of all maintenance and support activities at the school but then became an instructor in the last half of my tour.

This is one of the main reasons I was selected for Warrant a few years later, as I was the first Marine ever in my field to teach at our military occupational basic school with the rank of Sergeant. The more senior Marines there, who were all instructors, felt I should have the opportunity and they convinced the command to let me go to instructor school even though Sergeants had never gone before.

I suppose we could crop out half the shirt sticking out :)
This was our 1974 Plymouth Duster, complete with black vinyl interior and 318 engine in great condition.

Over the years I've come to like this picture. Shows a side of me I usually don't show :)

James Dean for sure ... if you crop the shirt, the image just won't ring true ...
