SIEGLIND:
Doug, do you remember any of this?

DOUG:
No, sorry! I don't remember anything about your specific room or the piano,
although the wood paneling seems remotely familiar (interesting, eh?). And
yes, I remember those big tall windows, I was fascinated by them and my
father's stories of having to clean them.

I suppose I must have been tinkering around on your keyboard, probably
working on my first sonata Not sure what my expression is all about,
thoughŠbig feet and ears for such a little guy! But I have always loved
music so I'm not surprised I was there. Thank you so much for this pix, I
have never seen it before!

What is weird, though, is that I remember going up the hallway steps and
entering a bedroom many times that I think at one time was my father's but
was now being used by Steve and/or Al. You walked into one room, then went
around a corner and there was a second room adjacent to it where you could
see the back yard. But for some reason I don't remember your room. Maybe I
also am getting confused between the second floor of 612 as compared to 614,
but I don't think so.

For Carlton Avenue in Brooklyn, I remember the entrance to the building, the
steps that led to the front door and then the living room (to include the
big picture and some mementos on the wall), kitchen area, back screened
patio, and lawn area. Duke's run was to the right; one had to go through
his fenced-in run area in order to open the fence door to gain access to the
bigger yard of 612. Where Uncle Alfred (maybe Steve too?) and I had a catch
or two once upon a time. And as a little kid I was terrified of Duke the
German Shepherd and his large chain! Those memories are distinctly clear,
as is Oma cooking in that kitchen and Uncle Alfred making ravioli for both
of us on one of those later Philly-NYC moving trips. I believe he drove a
push-button Plymouth that time, this was I think a car he had before the
GTO. It was in that car where I heard the theme from Hawaii 5-0 the first
time too.

Some of this is probably incorrect, but that's my recollections in 2013. I
like your music note on the wall, but what ever happened to the penguin
picture? I don¹t ever remember seeing that again.
