Summer 2010 - The story of Sam's Hill

Well when we needed to put a
new septic field in about 25 years ago (is that possible?) Sam had them
put the extra dirt in a pile at the northwest corner of our property. I
asked him why do that and he said "I have a plan." He got some boards
from the Shop where he works (G&T, Inc) and built a little wall behind
the dirt and then put some shelves up as well. Voila, a place for me to
plant flowers! So over the years we have tried different varieties and
found what works and what doesn't. So the picture that I sent was how it
looked in May. Now we have roses blooming and soon lilies will be
opening up. When we got home there was much to do: trimming, pruning,
planting, weeding etc. The rainy, muggy weather didn't make it too
inviting either.
