2/15/2011 - Sharp-shinned Hawk in the Trumpet Vine . . . AND a Downy Woodpecker frozen in fright.

Deb says: I saw the hawk dive into our weed trees by the deck. After
waiting a couple of minutes and thinking I missed him taking off, I noticed
the Downy frozen in place and knew I didn't miss anything. I got my camera
and looked out the dining room door and saw the hawk perched on the Trumpet
Vine. Even after he flew away, the Downy didn't budge. Took him about 5
minutes to be sure the hawk was gone. Loved every moment of this experience. Thanks, God! J
