1958 - Still have my braids, so I figure 1958. The first time I went to Wildwood to work Aunt Gretel cut off my braids (me protesting loudly with lots of tears). (see description) By the way, those aren't sneakers. What are "sneakers"? What I'm wearing here we called Saddle Shoes (Oxfords). Oxfords were leather and were called Saddle Shoes because of the distinctive black saddle across the arch. And, shame on me, my slip is showing.
