This picture is one of my earliest memories. (see description) My mother had it on the wall over her sewing machine in Germany. She hung it on the wall over her sewing machine in the US. When I set up my own household, I asked for this picture so it could go up on the wall over my sewing machine.

    I don't know why she had it on the wall over her treadle sewing machine. It was where she always kept it. To honor the memory, I decided to do the same.
