4/29/11 - Day 6
3-night stay in San Francisco. Many happy evening memories. Today was spent walking around San Francisco including Chinatown. We continued the walk up Telegraph Hill to Coit Tower and later a visit to Pier 39.

Lombard Street is famous for having 8 hair-pin turns in a very steep, one-block, section of the road.

"Go Cars" - Rented cars with GPS that will take you on a tour of the town and tell you about the sights (with ads from that restaurant you're driving past, of course).

Mom says this guy is definitely light in the loafers and probably explains why SF turned out the way it did.

Michael has very much been looking forward to visiting Coit Tower. Built in 1933, 210' tall, on Telegraph Hill, it will give you "Vertigo" with Jimmy Stewart and Kim Novak.

The murals were painted as part of the New Deal. Industry in the city as well as agriculture was depicted.
