David took me for a walk around. I took a break at the table under the arbor and found this guy on his back with (yes, I counted them) at least 2 doz. of these little flies on it.

Gentle Elwood, old and grizzled, also neighborly. It's rumored he's a cross between a wolf and a bear. Update 4/9/12: Elwood died last month. Bye, bye, sweetie.
