KAREN'S GALLERY (est. 2005)

2015-9-12 - I don't know whether they liked the pun, or me standing strategically near a sign that read "Retirement Village", or maybe a combination of both. :o)

One racer, on her way back, shouted at me to "catch". She said "thank you, I needed a smile right about now", or something similar. I was hoping people would get a chuckle out of the shirt, but I wasn't prepared for the response it got.

People shouted at me, "Love your shirt!", and many grinned or smiled and gave me a "thumbs up" back. I think, out of the 400 or so participants, at least 50 shouted out they liked the shirt, another 15 or 20 shouted thanks for being there, some smiled, and some waved. I believe it's safe to say there weren't more than 50 or so that didn't have a reaction. I had intended to leave after Michael passed, but I couldn't bring myself to leave. It was one of those times where I got more out of it than I gave. It's likely that there'll be another T-shirt in 2016. I already have an adjustment in mind.
