6/5/11 - Martie's gravy boat (Grandmom Stutzman)

1) The Bundt pan, and the grater below it, belonged to my mother. The Bundt pan was used to make "Geburtstagskuchen" (birthday cake), which resembles the pound cake we know over here (only better! ;) -). The Bundt pan is lined with tin and is pretty hefty.

2) The grater is brass and hand-made, the holes are hand-punched. Mother used it to grate raw potatoes for potato pancakes and for starch. Yes, starch used to be hand-made too. :o)

Some day I'll get around to adding individual pictures for these two.
