9/20/2010 - (see description) End of Summer, Spath is moved indoors today. I know I could baby the houseplants outdoors for another week or two, but my heart isn't in it. I'm taking the easy way out this year and just bringing them all in now.
I pulled off a couple dozen leaves to give it some room to breathe while it readjusts to being inside. It looked way too crowded. Most of the leaves were really tattered or weather-beaten and/or old anyway.
I think it may have reached it's optimal size, for this pot. At the end of next year's growing season, I'm fairly certain I'll have to thin the plant so anyone who wants half of this Spath, speak up now, and I'll transplant at the beginning of the season next year so it has a chance to settle in during the summer before I gift it away.
