2015-11-7 - (1) pantry shelves

What a difference they make in the kitchen! I love that the stove, which was holding the onions, potatoes, and napkins is empty again. I love that there's room for produce on the shelves (counter space is hard to come by here). I love the fact that the floor in front of the shelves is clear, and I love that the kitchen table can be used for eating again!

Some time ago David offered to build any shelves I need here. I sent him a drawing with measurements and he cut and sanded the plywood at his place. This is the first of two shelving systems he brought here this morning and assembled with Melissa's help. I just sat around and watched. It was lovely. :o) They came at 9 a.m. and finished at 10 a.m.

He said he was glad to know that I knew how to use a measuring tape. This might be the perfect time for me to say that I'm glad he knows how to use a measuring tape too. :oD

The second set of shelves is for the hall. They assembled those here also. Those shelves are intended for my folding clothes, linens, towels, etc.
