2016-5-25 update: Lavender and Ice Plant put in ground at Karen's due to renovations here and wanted to get binomials written down so I can throw tags and sticks away:
***Lavender (Lavandula x intermedia 'Grosso') perennial
-blooms Summer to early Fall, full sun, drought tolerant but requires excellent drainage, grows 30-48" tall, later than most lavenders, disease resistant, attracts butterflies, zone 7-9
***Ice Plant (Delosperma cooperi) perennial
-late Spring and Summer blooming succulent, drought tolerant, ground cover for sunny area, attracts butterflies, deer and disease resistant, zone 6-9
