2015-7-31 - A housewarming gift from Deb! "It's a Wonderful Life!"

I heard the doorbell and grumbled on my way down. I found a package - odd, I didn't order anything . . . I took the stool in the grass, sat down, inspected the package, and saw it was from Deb. Oh, neat! A surprise for the new apartment! (Wish I'd taken a knife down to open it; almost used my teeth, but, believe it or not, I finally did manage to get it open using only my fingers. Curiosity and determination make a swell combination. I was just fine until I saw the label on the wine. Barefoot wine for a barefoot gal. Now that made the eyes flow.

I'm having the bread and wine for dinner. I think I'll take it downstairs later in the evening and sit in the rocking chair (housewarming gift also), and just as the sun begins to set I'll rock and slowly savor the bread and wine. Oh! Yes, I'll take the salt down too and sprinkle a bit of it on every bit of bread and spend a few minutes being grateful - for many things, not least of which is the people in my life.
