KAREN'S GALLERY (est. 2005)

Blizzard #2 - 2/6/2010 - Another pic of Karola's. Some people got whitecaps in their Anaheim pools during stormy weather.

All Karola can brag about is 10" snowcaps on her pots. You've got to be tired of hearing me repeat the same story over and over, but I can still remember what an impression that made while sitting in your sunken living room and watching the wind whip up impressive whitecaps on your pool out back.

I also remember Marianne preparing venison steak one night for dinner. You were leery of me eating it, so you didn't tell me till afterward that I was eating game meat. Like I told you then, no worries, I'm a farmers daughter. I've eaten snails since then, too. One of my regrets is that while living in New Jersey I never made it down to the Hancock's Bridge firehouse to sample their annual Muskrat dinner. :o) Thanks for the memories.

[edit 6/7/14 - Two years ago, after a birding excursion, Karen took me to a restaurant on the way home and treated me to a Muskrat dinner. Actually we both had it. Uhm. The meat was black, it was very "gamey". It was tender and edible. We both agreed, once was enough.]
