My Recipe File and a special paper plate pizza recipe. (see description) This Recipe File is 40 years old and, by the looks of it and a bit of luck, it just might last me a few more.

It was given to me by Sieglind (Siegmund's sister) as a wedding gift. Instead of an index card file, or another system, I decided to use this for the odds and ends recipes I collected over the years. As you can see there are tabs for categories and each page has a pocket.

Here you're looking at the back of the book. I have some recipes there that defied categorization. When I took the book out to take a picture of it, I leafed through the recipes in the back. I haven't looked at those in many years.

I was surprised to find the pizza recipe. This is the recipe that Peter gave me. At the time the handiest paper I had to write it down on was a paper plate. Either that, or I wrote it down immediately after making it the first time.

The oil stains are an important piece of the recipe. When Peter was visiting (some time in the 1980's) we made pizza for dinner. He said they made it often and it was easy. He was right. The only problem we had was that we didn't know why the pizza was so greasy. It turns out we made a mistake with the recipe. Instead of adding 1/4 cup of oil, we added 1 cup! :oD))) That's the stuff memories are made of! :o)
