KAREN'S GALLERY (est. 2005)

1958 - Huntingdon St. - Brigitte on right and Karolina on left (in neighbor's yard?)

(from K) The reason I think this is the neighbor's yard is 1) I I don't remember Aunt Elisabeth having flowers, just a few weeds - I could be wrong, and 2) That's not our mother in the picture - it could have been the neighbor girls' grandmother. Goodness, but those yards were tiny. I think saying they were 15' x 15' is an exaggeration. With those fences on top of it, it's a wonder that anything grew at all. Very narrow houses, small rooms... --K

Good grief, I just realized I don't know what Aunt Elizabeth did for a living over here in the States? - - or I knew and forgot. Anybody have any ideas?

Also, by today's standards it might look like a slum, but it was typical inner city row home that now-a-days people like to call "town homes". I don't care what they call them, they're still row houses to me.
