KAREN'S GALLERY (est. 2005)

My mother loved this print of the painting "The Angelus".

The picture before this and the picture after this show it hanging on the living room wall in Germantown. (see description) My mother loved this print hanging in Germantown. It reminded her of her life in Germany (which she was glad was over). She often commented about the particulars in the picture and what they meant to her; the figures praying, the rows of the field, the village with church steeple in the distance. I have it hanging on my dining room wall now because it has much the same memories for me and I use it to remind me of how hard life was for my parents over there.

    Aunt Karolina,

The more I think about it, the more I think you are right...this is probably the picture I remember. Where was it hung? And do you know why it was not displayed in other places if Oma liked it so much...or was it?
