1949 - Klaus, Lina, Babette, Brigitte, our mother Margaret, Walter. (see description) The earliest memory I have of the boys is when they decided to blow up a little shack on a pond. I didn't know that's what they were doing at the time, I just remember a lot of whispering and giggling. I don't remember Brigitte being there. At one point the two Walters told Klaus to take me back to the house. He didn't want to, and I didn't want to leave. He grabbed me by the hand and pulled me along. He was in a hurry. We were almost to the house when I heard a huge !BOOM! There was a lot of excitement in the house after that, and all the grown-ups were mad. Go figure. I guess you'll have to talk to Uncle Walter to hear the story from his point of view. :o)
