KAREN'S GALLERY (est. 2005)

White Clay Creek SP, DE (2016-5-31)

Another fun morning trip. We stuck to a short piece of the Nature Center trail and back, then walked out to the road. We never set foot on the loop. I waited at the bridge while Karen went back and got the car. I'm glad she did, it gave me a chance to take a picture of a plant I didn't recognize which turned out to be Stinging Nettle. In Germany my mother would pick new leaves and boil them. We ate them like Spinach. I got "stung" once and learned my lesson.
