Presque Isle, Erie, PA (05/27/06)
We birded at Presque Isle (say Presk-Isle as one word). Took a side trip to a couple of State Parks in Ohio and then back to Presque Isle. Presque Isle is a spit of land, a peninsula actually, that juts out into Lake Erie. We enjoyed good weather and, as it was at the end of the migratory season, we enjoyed good birding also, and added some lifers to the list.

Swimming through the Spatterdock is a Beaver. Behind the Beaver, on the shore, on the log, is a female Wood Duck.

The Ivory-billed Woodpecker got tired of the heat and humidity in Alabama and decided to vacation in the refreshing breezes up north aways.
